What to do when you are locked out
Call us and describe the door, the type of lock if you know it, and whether the property is currently unsecured. That helps us bring the right tools and hardware the first time.
Be ready to show that you are authorized to access the property. We verify ownership or authorization before opening any lock; that protects you as much as anyone.
Doors that will not lock
A door that will not latch or lock is a security problem, especially overnight. Common causes include a failed closer, a misaligned strike, worn latch hardware or a damaged cylinder. We repair or replace the failed part so the opening closes and locks reliably again.
After a break-in
After forced entry we secure the opening first, then help you decide what to replace. That often means new cylinders or locks, a stronger strike, and rekeying any locks whose keys may have been taken.
Common questions
Before you schedule
How do I get help fast?
Call 404-351-4331. Calling is the quickest way to reach us for an urgent problem; tell us whether the building is unsecured so we can prioritize it.
Will you need to drill the lock?
Usually not. We open most locks without damaging them. If a lock is broken or has to be defeated, we can replace it on the same visit when we have compatible hardware.
Should I rekey after a lockout?
If keys were lost or stolen, yes. Rekeying makes the missing keys useless so you do not have to wonder who might find or use them.
