Finding a certified, experienced locksmith is no easy task. Sure, dozens of companies out there will dispatch an indifferent "technician" that offers "quick" solutions when you lose your keys. But when it comes to protecting your home and your business, cheap locks and part-time contractors just won't cut it. Arrowhead Lock & Safe stands out as the most trusted name in security solutions and products in Georgia in an industry known for poor service and mediocre locksmiths.
Established in 1973, Arrowhead Lock & Safe is a locally owned locksmith and control access firm. Having protected homeowners and business professionals in metro Kingston for decades, we have built our reputation on exemplary service and the highest quality security products available. Unlike other locksmith companies, we carry all of the major brands that you know and trust to protect your family and your business, including:
As a comprehensive locksmith repair center and dealer, we also own an on-site lock shop to serve our clients better. That way, we can assist with your day-to-day needs like re-keying, cutting keys, and repairing locks. So whether you're looking for a brand-new security platform for your business or simply need a new set of keys for your storage unit, we are here to help. Our goal is to exceed your expectations with every service we offer.
Though home appraisers may disagree, the value of your home isn't defined by the four walls and roofs that cover a property. The real value of your home lies within those walls where your family eats, sleeps, and plays. When it comes to the safety of your family and the security of your valuables, having quality locks installed on your home is paramount. When your home has lackluster locks and minimal protection, the things that you hold closest to your heart are at risk.
That is why having a dependable residential locksmith in Kingston is so important - to ensure that your home is protected and that your family is safe from intruders. When you have problems with the locks on your home, you need a solution quickly. When you call Arrowhead Lock & Safe, know that our locksmiths will work efficiently and tirelessly until your home is secure. Whether your home's locks need to be repaired or you need to consult with us about an integrated security system, our skilled locksmiths are available when you need them the most.
We offer a variety of residential locksmith services to preserve your peace of mind seven days a week, 365 days a year:
Does your home have a complicated lock setup that requires you to use different keys for different doors? Perhaps a former babysitter still has a key to your home. Whatever your reasons, our team of seasoned locksmiths will come to your home, re-key your locks in an efficient manner, and leave you feeling more secure in your house.
Your home is only as safe as the locks that you have on your doors. As your locks age or when you are the victim of a security threat, you may feel that it's time to install new locks on the doors of your home. This can be long, laborious, and complicated for the average homeowner. For that reason, many clients trust Arrowhead Lock & Safe to handle the hard work for them. When you arrange for new lock installation, one of our experienced residential locksmiths will come to your home and install new locks on your doors. Once we're done, we'll make sure your family has enough keys to open your new locks.
If you are a homeowner who has experienced a break-in or want to take additional steps to secure your assets, high-security locks are a great solution. We offer a wide variety of locks from a plethora of major brands. We are fully equipped to meet your needs, whether you're interested in more traditional lock systems with high key differs or pry resistant lock technology.
If you feel like you need an extra layer security and want to make sure that only certain individuals have access to your home, an access control system is a great solution to your problem. Whether you are interested in electronic or magnetic locks or have been looking to install a password-protected system, our team of experts can help. Contact our office today for a free consultation to learn more about your access control system options in Georgia.
If you are a business owner in Georgia, you have the weighty responsibility of protecting your patrons and securing your businesses' assets. The most common way for entrepreneurs to keep their business safe is by having a commercial locksmith in Kingston install quality, reliable locks on every entry point of your storefront. But, unfortunately, many business owners take the least amount of effort necessary when it comes to protecting their business.
Whether you own several franchise locations or have a single storefront, it only takes one break-in to make you realize the importance of installing high-quality locks for your commercial property. Sadly, at that point, it's too late - your ability to provide for your family and pay your bills has been compromised. For that reason alone, it's always better to be proactive about your businesses' security rather than reactive.
At Arrowhead Lock & Safe, our commercial door lock services are designed to ensure that your assets and your customers are protecting 24-hours a day, seven days a week. We will always take the time to walk you through your options, explaining the pros and cons of each security solution so that you can make an informed decision. With a wide range of security offerings and a reliable team of commercial locksmith experts on your side, choosing the right security setup is easy, efficient, and affordable.
Installing high-quality door locks for your business is one of the best ways to protect your assets and your commercial property. At Arrowhead Lock & Safe, we offer many commercial door lock options from the best brands in our industry. From reliable maintenance service on your current Grade 3 locks to new Grade 1 commercial door lock installation, our team of commercial locksmiths is ready to help.
If your businesses' locks are old and need proper maintenance or corrective repair services, it's always best to work with a team of experts. From re-keying services to fixing stuck or broken locks, our commercial locksmiths are only a phone call away.
Commercial alarms for businesses are more complex than their residential relatives, and for a good reason. Our cutting-edge alarm systems are great for preventing and interrupting break-ins, notifying the authorities, and act as an important addition to any business that wants enhanced security.
A commercial-grade CCTV system installed by Arrowhead Lock & Safe allows you to monitor all activities that take place under your businesses' roof. Having security cameras installed around your business gives you added peace of mind and evidence for the police if a break-in occurs. Having visible security cameras can also help deter criminals and prevent suspicious activity from ever taking place. With remote monitoring capability on your smart device, you can check in on your storefront any time of the night or day, from just about any location.
Having the ability to control every one of your businesses' locks is a proactive, cost-efficient way to protect your customers and your assets. With a commercial-grade control access system from Arrowhead Lock & Safe, business owners can easily restrict certain areas within their store, prevent physical key duplication, record entry history, and even simplify employee turnover.
Entryways can be especially vulnerable, but Arrowhead Lock and Safe know how to select and install the best doors for your business. When you add remote control access features, business owners can open other structures like motorized fences, large parking gates, and even barriers.
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) grading system was developed years ago to standardize a testing procedure to measure the durability and strength of a door lock. This grading system applies to both residential and commercial door locks. Composed of three different grades, the ANSI grading system gives homeowners and business owners a good idea of lock quality and reliability. ANSI examines six different qualities to determine a lock's grade:
These locks offer the highest level of security and are most often used by institutions like hospitals, schools, and even museums. These locks also have the highest life expectancy, though they can be much more complex and require an expert residential or commercial locksmith in cityname to install. In today's day and age, many more homeowners are opting for Grade 1 locks (like electronic locks) for the most peace of mind. This classification of lock must hold up against 800,000 cycles, six door strikes and a 360-pound weight test.
These locks are great for residential areas with more foot traffic, like a door that leads to an apartment complex or suite of rooms. These locks can also suffice for small businesses that need a higher level of security than Grade 3 locks. Use these locks when you want to secure access to areas with valuable equipment or sensitive documents. This classification of lock requires 400,000 cycles, four door strikes, and a 250-pound weight test.
This grade of lock is best suited for residential purposes and is considered standard door hardware. This kind of lock is the least expensive and should never be used in a high-traffic area like a lobby or storefront. However, these locks would be suitable for areas without much foot traffic like storage closets or areas without expensive merchandise. Because these locks are easiest to bypass, consider upgrading your Grade 3 locks with anti-bump and anti-pick technology. This classification of lock requires 200,000 lock cycles, two door strikes, and a 150-pound weight test.
A famous animator and movie director once said: "The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing." PANAMA CITY — He’s one of the most prolific property owners in Panama City, but only a handful of people have ever seen his face.
Over the past 15 years or so, Georgia-based developer George Kingston has been making headlines for buying and managing prominent land parcels in Panama City. Property appraiser records show he currently owns 76 properties in Bay County.
Most recently, he has made headlines over his plans try to convert the Cabana Motel in St. Andrews, long considered an eyesore and a current hot spot for transients, into a retail space. In 2005, the spotlight was on his purchase of the 11-acre train depot property from the Downtown Improvement Board, which subsequently burned down.
And through it all, one thing has remained constant — the intensely private developer has never commented.
When reached on a cell phone number recently, Kingston said that’s not changing.
“I’m not doing any interviews,” he said politely before saying goodbye and hanging up.
Dwight Hicks, Kingston's real estate agent, also declined to comment for this story.
Kingston’s name and more prominent properties, however, continue to pop up routinely at public meetings, no matter how private he remains.
His waterfront property along Beach Drive became part of the Panama City Marina redevelopment discussion as developer Bob Sonnenblick was briefly in conversations with him. The Downtown Improvement Board has talked about the importance of some of his buildings, like the Fiesta Room and La Royale Lounge he purchased earlier this year. The Waterfront Partnership in St. Andrews has talked about the Cabana, especially when he applied for grant money to tear it down then changed his mind.
He’s often accused of neglecting the properties, and in the past two years his properties have been involved in 16 Panama City code enforcement cases, according to city records.
“We’ve had quite a few properties owned by him we have or have had cases on. Hopefully, they will clean the one up,” Lance Livingston, manager of Panama City Code Enforcement, wrote in an email sent after Kingston bought the Cabana and obtained via a public records request.
The big question: What does Kingston want with the properties?
The short answer, according to several people who have worked with him, is to turn a profit.
Take the Beach Drive parcel. There was a moment when it seemed like Kingston might develop his waterfront in concert with the marina redevelopment, until he backed out.
“George has simply decided he wants to wait with his Beach Drive project until we are going,” marina developer Bob Sonnenblick said during a September interview with The News Herald. “He’s going to make millions on the land … that’s what he says, ‘Bob I want you to start first, and you are going to make my property worth more money.’”
Sonnenblick, who has met in person with Kingston twice, said when Kingston does develop, he most likely will hire someone.
Kingston owns other property throughout the Panhandle, particularly in Walton and Okaloosa counties. Tim Whaler, an urban planner who used to review his development in Walton County, said what Sonnenblick is describing is Kingston’s usual pattern.
“My understanding is he acquires land for whatever reason and holds onto it until he can sell them,” Whaler said.
Whaler said Kingston is a “minor player” in Walton development, but in Panama City that’s not the case.
“His properties in Panama City are a critical piece of the puzzle,” Whaler said.
Why Kingston is interested in Panama City and the Panhandle is a more challenging question to answer. However, public records show his father, the late four-star Army General Robert Kingston, and mother Josephine co-owned a condo in Panama City Beach with their daughter and son-in law in the 1970s, which might explain the appeal.
It is difficult to track, but Kingston has not sat on all of his properties in Panama City. Some, such as a building at the intersection of 15th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, have been sold.
And the ones he does own are not all vacant or poorly maintained. In downtown Panama City, for instance, he owns Hicks' building and several others with tenants.
Mayor Greg Brudnicki, who met with Kingston in July 2016 and January 2017 according to information found in the public records request, said in the long run, he thinks Kingston’s interest in the area will turn out for the best.
“He’s investing in Panama City,” Brudnicki said. “I don’t see how that could be a bad thing.”
PANAMA CITY — In the past six months, a Georgia-based developer quietly has purchased four major properties in Panama City.
The purchases of the Cabana Motel, the Grocery Outlet building at 301 E. Sixth St., Daffin Supply Company building at 401 W. Sixth St., and a parcel of waterfront property near Panama City City Hall all trace back to George Kingston, a largely elusive figure who has been purchasing property in the Panhandle for years.
The sum of the combined purchases is a little more than $4.7 million, according to public records.
Kingston could not be reached for comment for this story, and real estate agent Dwight Hicks, who often represents Kingston, had “no comment” for this story.
While tight-lipped about the plans, Kingston purchasing the Beach Drive property means he now owns all the waterfront property from Government Street to West Fifth Street, according to the property appraiser’s website, save one parcel owned by the city.
Owning that much property near the proposed Panama City Downtown Marina redevelopment could have implications for the project. So far, however, Kingston is not in talks with the city.
Panama City Mayor Greg Brudnicki said while he doubts Kingston would propose something for the spot that wouldn’t benefit the marina project, he could “only speculate” on what Kingston might be doing.
Similarly, Commissioner Mike Nichols has said Kingston buying the prominent Cabana Motel property is a “great thing” for St. Andrews, but he declined to comment on what Kingston’s plans might be.
Kingston, while based in Georgia, is not a new property owner in Panama City. His properties speckle the greater downtown area, including a few spots on Harrison Avenue, the lots off Sixth Street between Mulberry and Florida avenues and a cluster of parcels off Fifth Street near Massalina Bayou. He has been buying these properties since at least 2005.
The land and buildings have been purchased under various limited liability companies, including Reese Investment Inc., Beach Drive PC Properties and 1212 Beck Avenue. While the companies have different names and registered agents, all of them have 6622 E Broad St., Suite A, Douglasville, Georgia — Kingston’s offices — listed as the primary mailing address and his signature appears often on the documents.
Panama City is not the only place Kingston has been buying up land. He also owns a number of parcels in Walton and Okaloosa counties.

ROCK SPRING, Ga. (April 12, 2023) – As the Jimmy Simpson Foundation gears up for its second annual Clay Shoot coming up in June, the nonprofit has announced that Chattanooga Auto Square will be serving as the event’s Presenting Sponsor.
As the head sponsor, Chattanooga Auto Square, which is an Infinity; Land Rover; Jaguar and Porsche dealer located at 2915 Yerbey Drive in Chattanooga, TN, will have two teams participating in the Clay Shoot taking place June 1-2, 2023. They will have their logo prominently displayed during the event and will be making a donation to the Jimmy Simpson Foundation's Funds of the Future campaign.
The Foundations for the Future campaign is aimed at expanding the foundation’s Safehaven facility in Walker County, Ga., from 12 to 24 beds to accommodate the rising need for resources for traumatic brain injured and ventilator-dependent individuals in the Greater Chattanooga region. Once completed, the expanded facility will grow to approximately 31,000 square feet, with 28,000 of that space dedicated to direct services.
“When our team learned that Chattanooga Auto Square agreed to serve as our Presenting Sponsor, we were ecstatic. The Clay Shoot provides an exciting opportunity for individuals and businesses across the area to join us in helping individuals with traumatic brain injuries. This year is our foundation’s 25th anniversary, and the funds raised from this event are going to support us as we move forward in our journey to build a new facility and add new services,” Vickie Hodge, CEO of Safehaven and the Jimmy Simpson Foundation, said.
“We love being a part of our entire community! The greatest honor is serving the needs that make our place unique where even the marginalized among us are served. Thank you for allowing us the chance to give back a little where we may!” Virgil Edwards, Executive General Manager at Chattanooga Auto Square said.
A limited number of sponsorship opportunities for the event, which will take place June 1-2, 2023, at the Beretta Shooting Grounds by High Adventure Company at Barnsley Resort in Kingston, Ga, are still available. Open sponsorship opportunities currently range from $500 for a Bag Sponsor to $5,000 for a Sharpshooter Sponsorship.
Supporting sponsorships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 are also available for businesses interested in contributing to the cause without participating in the actual tournament.
“We’ve had several other incredible area businesses agree to sponsor this year’s event, but we still have opportunities for other individuals and companies that would like to get involved. We understand that each company’s financial situation is different, so we’ve created a number of varying sponsorship options for the event. Whether you come alongside us and serve as a Sharpshooter Sponsor or a Bag Sponsor, we are grateful for your contribution,” Hodge added.
The Jimmy Simpson Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all sponsorships are tax-deductible.
For more information or to sign up as a sponsor, visit the Jimmy Simpson Foundation’s website.
The Jimmy Simpson Foundation is dedicated to providing the best quality care for the brain injury community. It was founded as a 501c3 organization by Carol Simpson after her husband, Jimmy, suffered an anoxic brain injury as a result from a fall out of a hospital bed after surgery. While searching for long term placement for Jimmy, it was difficult to find an environment that fostered individuality as well as provided a safe home environment. As with many non-profit organizations, the family saw a need within the brain injury community and stepped up to meet that need. Imagine Music Festival, the Southeast’s most immersive electronic festival, has announced the phase two lineup for its 2023 edition returning to Kingston Downs, GA from September 14-17. These additions create the artist lineup for one of festival season’s most anticipated experiences, where interactive adventure meets world-class electronic music headliners, unique art installations, wellness programming, and a vibrant fan community at one of the World’s most scenic camping venues.
Imagine’s foundation continues to be rooted in curating world-class electronic music lineups year after year, with the 2023 edition presenting its most powerful offering to date. Over four days and nights, attendees will be treated to over 100 artists spread across four stages.
With its phase two lineup, Imagine takes its already stellar collection of back-to-back sets to another level, adding a first-ever b2b festival set from iconic bass music producers Subtronics and Ganja White Night. In addition to their headlining set, Slander Presents: Before Dawn will see the Gud Vibrations label heads play a second techno-flavored set. Other phase two highlights include a Hybrid Set from energetic jungle-pop and house duo Sofi Tukker, live acts such as multi-instrumentalist Elderbrook and production duo Kasablanca, rising house hitters Nostalgix, Deeper Purpose, and Matt Sassari, the hard-hitting sounds of Marauda and Mersiv, and sentimental electro pop duo Telykast among others.
This comes in addition to a lineup already led by some of the scene’s most celebrated names like HypnoVision label head Rezz, Black Book Records boss Chris Lake, floor-filling tech house sensation John Summit for an Off The Grid takeover, and a Sunset Set from Australian tech house king Dom Dolla. Additional highlights include a special performance from dubstep icon Svdden Death: Into The Inferno, the inimitable live multi-instrumentalist duo Big Gigantic, emotionally-charged producers Dabin and Said The Sky’s collaborative Dab the Sky, star Brazilian producer Vintage Culture, and the transcendent productions of Jade Cicada.
Pool Parties will be held Saturday and Sunday featuring sets from Dombresky’s Disco Dom alias and Never Dull on Saturday. In addition, the heavier bass frequencies of Kai Wachi and Ruvlo will take over on Sunday. Renowned record label Monstercat, Brownies and Lemonade, and John Summit’s Off The Grid will also host their own stage for the first time at the festival.
With its combination of undisturbed woodlands, sprawling grass fields, nature trails, and riverfront access, last year’s newly debuted venue location of Kingston Downs proved to be the ideal match for Imagine’s creative utopia. The family-owned and operated 5,000+ acre property is situated on the Etowah River, conveniently located a few miles outside of Rome, GA, and just 45 minutes north of metro Atlanta. It’s the perfect setting for festival goers to chart their own adventure, where opportunities to explore are boundless.
In Madeleine Goodhand, Co-Founder of Imagine Festival’s own words, “Imagine Festival was founded with a simple but powerful belief – that through the transformative power of music, art, and community, we can ignite the imagination and inspire positive change in the world where our dreams become a reality. It’s a celebration of creativity, diversity, and possibility, and I am constantly in awe of the incredible energy and passion that our attendees bring to the event. Together, we are building a vibrant community, one beat, one brushstroke, and one moment at a time.”
Imagine Music Festival is an 18+ event.
